Hip Hing Construction Company Limited was awarded a contract worth HK$2.2 billion to construct the Xiqu Centre in the West Kowloon Cultural District, the first major leisure and recreational facility in the District.

Sky Shilla Duty Free Limited, a joint venture of NWS, secured a five-year concession contract to operate a duty free concession at the Macau International Airport.

Sino-French Holdings (Hong Kong) Limited, a joint venture of NWS, entered into an agreement with Nam Kwong Development (H.K.) Limited to sell 90% of the issued share capital in Sino-French Energy Development Company Limited ("SFED") and the shareholder loan owed by SFED, for the aggregate cash consideration of US$612 million (equivalent to HK$4,755.24 million). SFED holds approximately 42.2% shareholding in Companhia de Electricidade de Macau – CEM, S.A. ("Macau Power"). This transaction resulted in a gain of HK$1.5 billion from the disposal of NWS approximately 17% effective interest in Macau Power.

New World First Ferry received licenses extension from Transport Department for the operation of ferry services plying between Central and Mui Wo, between North Point and Hung Hom, together with North Point and Kowloon City with effect from 1 April. The routes of plying between Central and Cheung Chau, as well as Inter-islands (plying between Peng Chau, Mui Wo, Chi Ma Wan, and Cheung Chau) took effect from 1 July.

Sino French Water, through its joint venture company, signed a contract with two partners in the Mainland to jointly operate the sludge drying project in Yangzhou under a new joint venture named Yangzhou Sino French Environment Company Limited.

2013

NWS acquired approximately 20.38% of the total issued H Shares in Beijing Capital International Airport Co., Ltd. (being approximately 8.84% of the total issued share capital of Beijing Capital International Airport Co., Ltd.) , becoming its second largest shareholder.

Sino French Water, a joint venture of NWS, signed an agreement with Sichuan Dayi Water Company Limited to jointly operate the Chongzhou Dayi Wastewater Treatment Plant, which was dedicated to providing wastewater treatment services to over 600,000 inhabitants and industrial and commercial clients in Chongzhou City, Chengdu in the Mainland.

The wastewater treatment plant in Wuhan Chemical Industry Park Water Treatment Project, with a total capacity of 50,000 m3/day, commenced operations.

Sino French Water signed a 30-year contract with the Qingdao Dongjiakou Administration Committee to provide exclusive wastewater treatment services to the chemical industrial zone in the Qingdao Dongjiakou Economic Zone.

NWS announced its partnership with Parkway Pantai Limited ("Parkway Pantai") to develop and operate a private hospital named Gleneagles Hong Kong Hospital. Parkway Pantai and NWS would contribute 60% and 40% respectively of the total investment of approximately HK$5 billion with the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine of The University of Hong Kong as the clinical partner.

2012

Sino French Water Development Company Limited, a joint venture of NWS, acquired a 65% equity in Shuangliu Dayi Environmental Technology Company Limited.

Sino French Water Development Company Limited ("SFWD"), a joint venture of NWS, entered into a 30-year contract to offer exclusive water treatment services to Wuhan Chemical Industry Park ("WCIP"), cementing SFWD’s role as the sole provider of integrated water and wastewater services to clients within WCIP.

NWFB and Citybus were granted two 10-year franchises for the Airport and North Lantau Bus Network by the Hong Kong government.

NWS Kwai Chung Logistics Centre, with a leasable area of 920,000 sq. ft, held its opening ceremony.

NWS completed the acquisition of an aggregate of 95% effective interest in Hangzhou Ring Road for a total consideration of approximately US$1.1 billion.

2011

NWS announced that Wuhan Sino French Waste Water Treatment Co. Ltd., a joint venture with Wuhan Chemical Industry Park, Degremont Water Treatment Systems (Beijing) Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Chemical Industry Park, was established through its joint venture Sino French Water Development Company Limited. The effective interest of NWS is 21.5%.

Xiamen Haicang Xinhaida Container Terminals Co., Ltd commenced operations with an annual handling capacity of one million TEUs.

NWS Holdings became a constituent stock of the Hang Sang Corporate Sustainability Benchmark Index.

New World First Holdings Limited, jointly owned by NWS and Chow Tai Fook Enterprises Limited, sold all shares in New World First Ferry Services (Macau) Limited to Shun Tak – China Travel Shipping Investments Limited for approximately HK$350 million.

2010

Guangzhou Dongxin Expressway, in which NWS holds 40.8% equity interest, was officially opened to traffic.

The Macao SAR and Companhia de Electricidade de Macau - CEM, S.A. signed a 15-year contract extension for power supply with effective on 1 December 2010.

NWS disposed of certain subsidiary companies engaged in service businesses to Fung Seng Enterprises Limited for a total consideration of HK$888.5 million.

NWS acquired an additional 8% equity interest in China United International Rail Containers Co., Limited ("CUIRC") for a consideration of approximately HK$350 million, increasing its total interest to 30% in CUIRC.

Sino French Water Development Company Limited, together with Chongqing Water Group and Changshou Chemical Industrial Park Development and Construction Company Ltd., secured a new 50-year concession for industrial water services in Chongqing Changshou Chemical Industrial Park through a new joint venture. NWS holds an effective shareholding of 25.52%.

Sino French Water Development Company Limited was awarded an Operation and Maintenance contract for two wastewater treatment plants on Changxing Island in Dalian.

Chongqing Water Group, a strategic partner of Sino French Water Development Company Limited, was listed on Shanghai Stock Exchange, which was Chongqing’s first key state-owned enterprise to obtain a listing in A shares on the Shanghai stock market.

2009

Macao Water Supply Company Limited and the Macao Special Administrative Region signed a new concession contract for tap water supply services in Macau.

NWS re-classified its business segments into Infrastructure (Roads, Energy, Water and Ports & Logistics) and Services (Facilities Management, Contracting & Transport and Financial Services) divisions.

The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre completed its expansion, increasing exhibition space to 66,000 sq m and the total rentable function space to over 91,500 sq. m.

Sino French Water Development Company Limited ("SFWD") and Earth Tech completed an equity transfer for a water supply joint venture in Tianjin. Tianjin Sino French Jieyuan Water Co., Ltd., was established, with SFWD and Tianjin Water Works Group as partners. The equity transfer amounted to an investment of RMB117 million.

2008

The Main Storage Reservoir Water Treatment Plant II of Macao Water Supply Co. Ltd. was officially opened

Macao Water Supply Co. Ltd. signed a turn-key contract for the construction of Main Storage Reservoir II.

NWS signed a joint venture agreement with China Railway Container Transport Corp. Ltd., a subsidiary of the Ministry of Railways, and other parties to establish China United International Rail Containers Co., Limited. The joint venture aimed to develop and manage 18 large-scale pivotal rail container terminals in 18 majors cities in the Mainland

NWS entered the exhibition centre management industry in the Mainland through a joint venture to manage Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

2005
